COLD MILL PLANING The Perfect Patch Asphalt Co. is excited to announce the addition of a Cold Mill Planing Division to our company in 2011. Our State-of-the-Art cold mill planer allows us the green technology of recycling your old asphalt lot into high quality road base material ON SITE!!! This base material (commonly referred to as “Roto Mill Tailings”) is a much sought-after product because of its‘ high oil content, which exceeds standard road base and allows the base to re bond. This dust free product can be placed and compacted in any weather because no water is needed during the compaction process. Gone are the days of having to truck off large pieces of broken asphalt to the dump before new road base is trucked back in. Now the road base is made on site, at a huge cost savings to the customer. If the roto mill tailings are not needed for base reconstruction the customer can use them for temporary parking lots or roads at NO CHARGE. The savings continues for the customer because planing is two or three times faster than conventional methods of asphalt removal. This allows us to not only have more resources under our control, but to complete the job in a much timelier manner.
